FAQ – Twin Cities Inspections
For an average-sized home, an inspection will take approximately three hours, though this may vary based on the age and condition of the home.
Twin Cities Inspections thoroughly examines all of the major systems of the home, including: the roof; exterior; basement, foundation, crawlspace and structural components; HVAC; plumbing; electrical; fireplace; attic, insulation and ventilation; and the doors, windows, and interior.

For the complete summary, please view the InterNACHI Standards of Practice here.
The report includes a comprehensive summary of all the defects observed at the time of the inspection. The descriptions will be accompanied by photos to visually show you the issues that were found. The report also includes repair recommendations and an action list which describes the most critical defects that should be addressed. The report can be used by you to aid in negotiations during the purchase of the home.
Radon and environmental testing falls outside the scope of a home inspection. Those services require separate licensing and are offered by other businesses in the area.
If desired, there is dedicated time at the end of the inspection to walk through the home together and explain the defects that were observed. All of the defects found during the inspection will also be included in the report.
